KMN Holdings operates in the trade sector through KMN Trade Holdings (80%), which is also held by the Shamrock Fund. Today, KMN Trade holds some 12 companies engaging in the engineering and fluids sectors.
The Fluids Division focuses on the import, marketing and sales of a variety of products for the piping of fluids (water, sewage, gas, fuel, steam, etc.), including pipes, pipe fittings, faucets, control mains, valves, command and control devices, pumps, and sealing and welding materials, as well as semi-finished engineering products, which are used as raw materials for the manufacture of equipment for the various industrial sectors, including sheets, rods and profiles.
The Fluids Division includes the following companies: Mendelson – S. Bar, engaging in the marketing and distribution of pipe products and pipe fittings for infrastructure, industry, plumbing and fire extinguishing; Hamechadesh Industries, the industry leader in the manufacture, assembly and renovation of pumping equipment; and Dodson Global, the master distributor of steel pipe fittings.
The Engineering Division engages in the supply of products, services and counseling in three sectors: plastics and rubber, metals, and research and development.
The plastics and rubber sector includes the following companies: Alexandrovitz Engineering Plastics and Rubber, one of the veteran companies in this sector in Israel; Almor Fiberglass, which specializes in the marketing and distribution of raw materials for the fiberglass industry, cylindrical plastic sheets and products for the DIY (Do It Yourself) industry; and Techno Ad, a leading veteran supplier of metal and rubber components.
The metals sector is comprised of two subsidiaries: KMN Metal Trade, which operates a service center in the metals sector, and specializes in aluminum for the commercial, defense and aviation sectors; and Kidron Trade, which operates as the exclusive representative in Israel of Alcoa, the world’s largest aluminum manufacturer, and engages mainly in the aviation and defense equipment sectors.
The research and development sector is handled by Ika Laboratories, one of the leading industrial labs in Israel.
The trade group in the leading player in Israel in its spheres of activity, marketing to some 5,000 customers, the majority of which are in Israel (customers include the leaders in the Israeli economy: Israel Aerospace Industries, Israel Military Industries, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., Defense Industries, Mekorot Israel National Water Company, the Israel Electric Corporation, Elbit Systems Ltd. and more), while others are in the United States and in Europe, to which a range of some 60,000 different products are marketed and are purchased by hundreds of suppliers in Israel and internationally.
